Celebrating Our Triumph: Assisting Hands Rockford Wins 2023 Business of the Year  We are thrilled to announce that on June 11, 2023, Assisting Hands Rockford was honored with the prestigious 2023 Business of the Year award by the Winnebago Area Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber’s Annual Awards event was themed “A Night Amongst the Stars.” This accolade is a testament to our unwavering commitment to excellence and community service.

A Night to Remember

Owners Jen and Harry Dexter, along with our dedicated office staff, Wanda Cwicklo (Director of Operations) and Donna Ridge (Field Supervisor and Training Coordinator), attended the event to receive this high honor. Jen Dexter expressed heartfelt gratitude, stating, “It was the highest honor to have the core team there as we received the award. It would not have been possible without these individuals as they have worked countless hours, made personal sacrifices, and served over 100 members of the community.” It was an evening filled with pride and joy for our entire team.

The Business of the Year award recognizes a business that has demonstrated remarkable growth in workforce, productivity, and operations, with a proven track record of success. This award celebrates our positive social and economic impact on the Winnebago Area. Criteria for selection included exceptional growth, innovative achievements, and active community engagement through dedicated time and resources.

Our Journey and Achievements

Over the past two years, we have been recognized for our dedicated work in supporting and advocating for Veterans in our community.  We have been at the forefront of educating families about respite care grants to support friends and family caring for their loved ones. Our commitment goes beyond providing care, as we have also volunteered our time to offer care to seniors in need.

Our growth has been phenomenal. Since opening our doors, we have doubled our revenue and hired close to 200 people from our community. Additionally, we have four new salaried staff members with each sharing in our mission to be the best home care company in town.

Our mission is not only to provide exceptional home care, but also to help the community find and connect with free resources. We are committed to additional growth, innovation, and community service, setting new standards in home care.
