We recently received a touching letter of appreciation written to the Assisting Hands Rockford team by a patient’s family and we wanted to share it with you. One of the hardest things to do is say goodbye to those we care for. It was an honor to care for Gene in the comfort of his own home during his final days, which is what he wanted. His smile will always be with us. Below, we have included the letter we received, as well as our response to this special family:<\/p>\n

A Touching Letter of Appreciation<\/strong><\/h2>\n

We were so touched by all of you attending the visitation and\/or service for Gene. The compassion and care he and mom received was amazing and appreciated. He always tried to express how good you were to him!<\/em><\/p>\n

Thank you all for who you are and for what you do. You were a big part in allowing us to honor Gene’s wish of remaining at home.<\/em><\/p>\n
