Meet our Care Coordinator, Jessica! She\u2019s been part of the Assisting Hands Home Care Cave Creek team for nearly three years, growing from caregiver to her current role coordinating care for our clients and supporting our caregivers. I caught up with Jessica to learn more about her journey, what she loves most about her role, and how she keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes.<\/p>\n
You\u2019ve been part of the Assisting Hands Cave Creek team for almost three years and have grown from caregiver to Care Coordinator. What has that journey been like for you?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n It\u2019s been such a rewarding journey! Starting as a caregiver gave me a real understanding of what families and clients need day to day, and that perspective has helped me so much in my Care Coordinator role. I\u2019ve learned a lot about communication, problem-solving, and building strong relationships with both clients and caregivers. I\u2019m really proud of how much I\u2019ve grown and grateful to be part of such a supportive team.<\/p>\n How has your time as a caregiver helped you in your current position?<\/strong> It gave me firsthand insight into the challenges caregivers face and the level of care clients truly need. That experience helps me make more informed decisions, provide better support to our team, and communicate effectively with families. It also allows me to approach every situation with empathy and understanding, because I\u2019ve been in their shoes.<\/p>\n You\u2019re often the main voice people hear when they call our office. What\u2019s something people might not realize about what goes into scheduling and coordinating care behind the scenes?<\/strong> People might not realize just how much coordination and problem-solving goes into making each schedule work smoothly. Behind every shift, there\u2019s a lot of communication, planning, and flexibility to make sure both the client\u2019s needs and the caregiver\u2019s availability align perfectly. Things can change quickly, so it\u2019s about staying organized, thinking ahead, and working as a team to make sure every client has consistent, reliable care.<\/p>\n What\u2019s your favorite part of your job as Care Coordinator?<\/strong> My favorite part of being a Care Coordinator is building relationships with both our clients and caregivers. I love being able to reward caregivers for doing an amazing job, as well as hearing the happy stories about how things are going. Even the interesting or funny stories are enjoyable! I really like getting to know both our clients and caregivers on a personal level. It\u2019s incredibly rewarding to know that the work I do behind the scenes helps clients receive great care and helps caregivers feel confident and appreciated in their roles.<\/p>\n What do you like to do for fun when you\u2019re not busy keeping everyone\u2019s schedules running smoothly?<\/strong> When I\u2019m not keeping everyone\u2019s schedules running smoothly, I spend a lot of time at my family\u2019s new restaurant. Working as a Care Coordinator has helped me come out of my shell, so I really enjoy talking with our customers. I also have two dogs, we enjoy outdoor activities like hiking and people watching.
