How long are the visits?
Visits are intentionally shorter than traditional multi-hour home care shifts. The exact visit length is based on the assistance your loved one needs before, during and after the shower.
How much does it cost?
Shower Safely costs $33.00 per visit for two showers per week or $40.00 per visit for one shower per week.
Do we have to sign a long-term contract?
No long-term commitment is required. We establish regular shower days so care is dependable, and we’ll explain the service agreement before care begins.
Can the caregiver actually help with the shower?
Yes. Depending on the assessed care plan, the caregiver can provide standby supervision or hands-on help with bathing, drying, dressing and basic grooming.
Can you help someone who uses a walker or wheelchair?
Possibly. We’ll ask about mobility, transfers and the bathroom setup. If two-person assistance or equipment outside our service limits is needed, we’ll be honest about whether the program is a safe fit.
What if my parent needs more than bathing help?
Assisting Hands also provides traditional hourly home care and other short-visit support. We can help you identify which option best matches the need.
