It should be noted that these are average costs from home care agencies. Private individuals can be retained to provide most of the same services with fees that are 20% – 30% lower. However, these independents are typically uninsured, do not go through background checks and may be unable to provide alternatives in case they are not available to work on short notice.

I don't know how I would have made it through the first two weeks after my hip surgery without the help of the caregivers from Assisting Hands®. They gave me the peace of mind of knowing I'd have someone coming by everyday to help with post-surgery exercises and appointments. As an added bonus, they did my laundry and helped with other things around the house. If I find myself in a similar situation again, I would certainly turn to Assisting Hands® for help.
