Does Your Veteran Qualify for In-Home Care in Davis or Weber County?

March 4, 2026lbrown

Assisting Hands Home Care Davis & Weber County, we are a VA-approved agency dedicated to helping Veterans access the benefits they’ve earned — and we have a dedicated Veterans advocate, Tim, on staff to guide you through every step.

What Is Veteran Home Care in Utah?

Veteran home care Utah programs are VA-funded services that allow eligible Veterans to receive professional care in the comfort of their own home. Rather than moving to a facility, Veterans can get help with daily living activities while staying in the environment they know and love.

The VA offers several pathways to receive this care:

VA Community Care Network (CCN) The CCN allows Veterans to receive home care from VA-approved private agencies. As a credentialed CCN provider, Assisting Hands can deliver services directly covered by your VA benefits. Learn more about the CCN program at va.gov.

Aid & Attendance Pension Benefit Veterans and surviving spouses who need help with daily activities like bathing, dressing, or meal preparation may qualify for the VA’s Aid & Attendance benefit — a monthly pension payment that can be used toward professional in-home care costs. The VA provides full eligibility details at va.gov/pension/aid-attendance-housebound.

Respite Care for Family Caregivers If a family member is the primary caregiver for a Veteran, the VA may provide respite care — temporary professional support so the family caregiver can rest or attend to other responsibilities.

How to Find Out If You Qualify

Many Veterans are surprised to learn they qualify for veteran home care Utah benefits they were never told about. The eligibility process can feel overwhelming — that’s exactly why Tim is here.

As our Veterans advocate, Tim will:

  1. Review your service history and current VA eligibility
  2. Identify which programs apply to your situation
  3. Explain exactly what services and coverage you may receive
  4. Assist with paperwork and VA coordination on your behalf

This consultation is completely free with no obligation. Tim’s only goal is to make sure you receive every benefit you’ve earned.
