Today I had the joy of stepping out of the office and into a room full of energy, laughter, and holiday cheer at the 2025 Women in Business Holiday Luncheon<\/strong> with the Davis Chamber of Commerce<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

It was a beautiful reminder that behind every local business, there are real people\u2014women balancing leadership, family, community roles, and a deep desire to make a difference right here in Davis County.<\/p>\n

And yes\u2026 I even managed to squeeze in a photo with Janet Tueller and the Grinch<\/strong>! \ud83d\udc9a\ud83c\udf84<\/p>\n

Women Supporting Women in Davis County<\/h2>\n

The Women in Business Holiday Luncheon is more than just a festive meal\u2014it\u2019s a space where local women:<\/p>\n

    As a woman business owner, I always leave these events feeling recharged. It\u2019s powerful to sit in a room filled with women who are passionate about:<\/p>\n

      We\u2019re all in different industries\u2014finance, real estate, healthcare, nonprofits, retail, and more\u2014but we\u2019re connected by the same goal: making Davis County a better place to live, work, and age.<\/p>\n

      Why Events Like This Matter for Our Seniors<\/h2>\n

      You might wonder, \u201cWhat does a holiday luncheon have to do with home care?\u201d For us at Assisting Hands Home Care \u2013 Davis & Weber Counties<\/strong>, the answer is: everything<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

      The stronger our business community is, the stronger our community is for seniors and their families<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

        Conversations at these events often spark ideas about how we can better reach and support caregivers, Veterans, and families who are feeling overwhelmed.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        A network that cares<\/strong>
        Many of the women in that room today also care for aging parents, grandparents, or neighbors. They understand firsthand how important reliable, compassionate home care is\u2014and they help spread the word about what we do.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        A Lighthearted Moment: The Grinch Makes an Appearance<\/h2>\n

        Of course, no holiday luncheon would be complete without a little fun.<\/p>\n

        One of my favorite moments was snapping a picture with Janet Tueller and the Grinch<\/strong>. It was a good reminder that joy, playfulness, and a sense of humor belong in business too\u2014especially in the work we do with seniors.<\/p>\n

        In home care, we talk a lot about safety, health, and support\u2026 but joy matters just as much. Our caregivers bring smiles, laughter, and connection into our clients\u2019 homes every day, and that same spirit was alive and well at the luncheon.<\/p>\n

        Attending the Women in Business Holiday Luncheon also gave me a chance to reflect on what I\u2019m most proud of at Assisting Hands Davis<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

          We are passionate about dementia and Alzheimer\u2019s education<\/strong>, supporting families with both compassionate care and practical guidance.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

          We believe in treating clients\u2014and caregivers\u2014like family.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          Being part of the Davis Chamber of Commerce, and especially the Women in Business<\/strong> group, means we\u2019re not doing this work alone. We\u2019re surrounded by women who believe in integrity, service, and lifting each other up.<\/p>\n

          As we wrap up 2025 and move into a new year, I\u2019m grateful for:<\/p>\n
