Christmas in the Park is a reminder that small acts of kindness\u2014warm clothing, essential items, and simple human connection\u2014can make a meaningful difference.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"1350\" data-end=\"1395\">Helping Collect and Sort Gently Used Items<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1397\" data-end=\"1725\">Leading up to the event, <strong data-start=\"1422\" data-end=\"1498\">gently used donations were collected throughout the senior care industry<\/strong>, and we were grateful to be part of the effort. Our role was hands-on and practical: <strong data-start=\"1584\" data-end=\"1636\">gathering, organizing, and sorting donated items<\/strong> so they could be distributed efficiently and respectfully to those who needed them most.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1727\" data-end=\"1903\">There\u2019s something powerful about seeing a community come together\u2014people and organizations setting aside busy schedules to make sure others feel seen, supported, and cared for.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"1905\" data-end=\"1981\">Thank You to Oasis Senior Care (and a Special Shoutout to Wendy Spradley)<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1983\" data-end=\"2220\">We also loved spending our Saturday morning with our friends at <strong data-start=\"2047\" data-end=\"2068\">Oasis Senior Care<\/strong>. It\u2019s always uplifting to work alongside others who share the same values: compassion, service, and doing what\u2019s right\u2014especially when it matters most.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2222\" data-end=\"2628\">And we want to recognize the heart behind this entire event: <strong data-start=\"2283\" data-end=\"2301\">Wendy Spradley<\/strong>, who independently organized and led Christmas in the Park. Wendy has been doing this event for years with her family, and it\u2019s clear how much love, dedication, and behind-the-scenes work goes into making it happen. The impact of her leadership is felt by everyone who participates\u2014and especially by those who receive support.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"2630\" data-end=\"2655\">Why This Matters to Us<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"2657\" data-end=\"2885\">At Assisting Hands, our mission is centered on care\u2014whether that\u2019s in a client\u2019s home, in our local senior communities, or through outreach efforts like this. Events like Christmas in the Park align closely with what we believe:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"2887\" data-end=\"3080\">\n<li data-start=\"2887\" data-end=\"2959\">\n<p data-start=\"2889\" data-end=\"2959\">Everyone deserves dignity and warmth, especially during the holidays<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2960\" data-end=\"3005\">\n<p data-start=\"2962\" data-end=\"3005\">Community partnerships make care stronger<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"3006\" data-end=\"3080\">\n<p data-start=\"3008\" data-end=\"3080\">Service is about showing up\u2014consistently, compassionately, and locally<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"3082\" data-end=\"3229\">We\u2019re grateful to have been part of this meaningful morning in Ogden, and we\u2019re proud to stand with community partners who are making a difference.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"3231\" data-end=\"3247\">Looking Ahead<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"3249\" data-end=\"3373\">If you donated items, volunteered, helped coordinate, or supported this event in any way\u2014thank you.
