Whether you have a loved one battling these diseases or simply want to take proactive steps for your cognitive well-being, there are numerous ways to get involved and make a difference.<\/p>\n<h4>Understanding Alzheimer&#8217;s Disease and Dementia<\/h4>\n<p>Alzheimer&#8217;s disease is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder that affects memory, thinking, and behavior. It is the most common cause of dementia, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/aging\/dementia\/index.html#:~:text=Alzheimer's%20disease.,specific%20changes%20in%20the%20brain.\">accounting for 60-80% of cases<\/a>.
