Why Home Care Became Personal for Us
For Keren and Avi, caregiving is more than a profession or a business, it is deeply personal.
Keren’s journey began at a young age when she became the main caregiver for her mother, who lived with diabetes and its complications. This experience inspired her lifelong passion for caring for others.
Keren completed her nursing education and earned a bachelor’s degree in health systems management abroad, where she also gained nearly 20 years of professional experience working as a Registered Nurse. She has continued her career in healthcare, serving the Grand Rapids community in various healthcare roles. Her passion remains helping people feel cared for, respected, and supported.
Outside of work, Keren enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, cooking, and giving back to her community, including volunteering in activities supporting individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease.
Avi’s commitment to caregiving, like Keren, comes from personal experience. Alongside his extensive background in engineering, business development, and leadership, he brings a firsthand understanding of the importance of compassionate care.
When his mother was diagnosed with cancer, Avi and his two sisters became closely involved in caring for and supporting her throughout her illness. This experience gave him a deep understanding of how important compassionate, reliable, and personalized care is for individuals facing health challenges, as well as the peace of mind it brings to their families. It also reinforced his belief that quality care is not just about meeting physical needs, but about treating every person with dignity, respect, and genuine compassion.
Through their personal experiences, Keren and Avi came to understand not only the challenges faced by those needing care, but also the emotional and physical toll on their families. They recognized how important it is to have someone they can trust to provide compassionate care, reassurance, and support.
Together, they are committed to providing high-quality, professional, and compassionate home care while helping families feel supported and ensuring their loved ones are treated with dignity, respect, and independence.
