Allison Hadlock, Lead Caregiver<\/h2>\n

You may wonder, what exactly IS a lead caregiver. A lead caregiver is a caregiver who paves the way for her other team members.<\/strong> Allison sets the bar high for her teammates by providing excellent care to families and supporting the administrative team whenever possible. She is our voice from the field to help improve senior care services<\/a> for both families and caregivers.<\/p>\n

Lead Caregiver Responsibilities<\/h2>\n

Our lead caregiver is all around town, in the office, with regular clients, or filling in when needed.\u00a0 She fulfills a myriad of duties, depending on the day!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Allison writes blogs, maintains caregiver files, assists with miscellaneous administrative support, runs errands, does promotional crafts, and of course, plans parties for our team and our community!\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Allison says she enjoys having a variety of projects and duties because it keeps her fresh and ready for different duties on different days.<\/p>\n

About Allison<\/h2>\n

As a native of Florida, we always say that Allison brings the sunshine to Assisting Hands (you\u2019ll know what we mean if you\u2019ve met her).\u00a0 She went to college for Creative Writing and I have many creative extracurriculars including writing poetry and singing in a choir!\u00a0\u00a0That is one of the things about Allison that makes her a great team member. She brings her creativity to the office and we believe maintaining balance outside of Assisting Hands allows her to bring her best self to work every day. We all strive to bring that ray of sunshine to our clients\u2019 homes when we provide elderly care services<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Allison\u2019s passion for home care<\/a> came from an experience caring for her grandmother when she was diagnosed with dementia.<\/p>\n

In her own words, Allison tells us why she likes home care and what she hopes to contribute to Assisting Hands:<\/p>\n

I know from personal experience how it feels to need a helping hand when you are taking care of the loved ones who used to take care of you. I feel it is a lovely and important duty to take care of our parents and grandparents.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

I hope my attitude and creativity can help this dynamic and oh-so-personal business of caring flourish! I believe Assisting Hands has a truly genuine core purpose thanks to Daniellah. I hope I can add some care and also some fun!<\/em><\/p>\n

Melinda has been a case coordinator for over 10 years.\u00a0 When we see her work in the day-to-day, it\u2019s clear she really enjoys her job and has a passion for helping others.<\/p>\n

A case coordinator schedules and manages the flow of patient\u00a0care, ensuring that quality service is provided, and patient satisfaction met. She works hard to make sure she knows each and every caregiver so she can match their abilities and availabilities<\/a> to the right client\u2019s needs.<\/strong>\u00a0 You\u2019ll find Melinda spending most of her day on the phone with caregivers and clients, meeting with caregivers in the office, or chatting with the owner about how to best serve our families.<\/p>\n

According to Melinda, a good coordinator is able to put herself in a patient or family member\u2019s shoes so you can understand their feelings and anticipate their needs.<\/strong> You can also understand their struggles when it comes to delivering high-quality senior care<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Every day, you carry out complex, interrelated tasks. Having the necessary training, background, and experience is crucial. What Melinda says is true! A coordinator in home care is a very challenging yet rewarding job. She tries to find balance among many people\u2019s needs that are constantly changing. There is truly an art to her process that results in the coordination looking seamless to caregivers and clients.<\/p>\n

We asked Melinda what she likes best about elderly care<\/a>. Here is what she has to say, in her own words:<\/p>\n

I like\u00a0home care because it\u00a0<\/em>allows you\u00a0to truly make a difference in the lives of clients and their families. Home health professionals\u00a0enjoy\u00a0the personal relationships they build and the sense of accomplishment that comes with knowing they\u00a0are\u00a0enhancing an individual’s quality of life.<\/em><\/p>\n
