evaluation for geriatric extended care (GEC) from a social worker (SW), registered nurse (RN), or a medical doctor (MD).\u00a0 Those who meet one of the following criteria will qualify:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must have at least 3 activity of daily living (ADL) dependencies<\/li>\n<li>Significant cognitive impairment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>VA Respite Program<\/h2>\n<p>Veterans who qualify for this program will receive temporary home care or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.va.gov\/GERIATRICS\/Guide\/LongTermCare\/Respite_Care.asp\">respite care<\/a>.\u00a0 Applicants for this program must also be evaluated by a social worker, medical doctor, or registered nurse to qualify.\u00a0 Those who meet one of the following criteria will be accepted:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Dependency for at least
