The Houston-area franchise owner, Terri Robbins, and the corporate franchise sales director, Dianne Wright, will offer information about Assisting Hands\u2019 model of in-home care services in booth 773 at the NRG Convention Center February 5 &#8211; 7.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am passionate about the difference our caregivers make in the lives of our clients and their families,\u201d said Assisting Hands Home Care Houston president and owner Terri Robbins. \u201cI hope to meet others who share my passion of serving and enabling individuals to live at home in safety, comfort and dignity.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Robbins\u2019 desire for home health care stems from a dream she and her mother, Claire Gulsby, had of owning and operating a hospice business.\u00a0 Before they could launch the business, her mother was diagnosed with breast cancer.<\/p>\n<p>Robbins became the primary caregiver for her mother, bathing and dressed her mom, prepared meals, tidied up the house daily. As a mom herself, it was a lot to juggle while caring for her own family. After three years, her mother lost her battle with breast cancer, and that\u2019s when Robbins decided to launch a business that would offer support to families who needed help for loved ones.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen you are taking care of someone else, you can forget to take care of yourself,\u201d said Robbins. \u201cAnd when that happens you aren\u2019t good physically or emotionally to care for your loved one.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Assisting Hands Home Care\u00ae, a franchise system that provides non-medical and certain medical in-home caregiving services with staffing services available 24 hours a day and seven days a week. There are currently four franchises in the Houston-area, serving residents in Houston, North Houston, West Houston and Cypress.
