I am so glad I contacted you, you have been a blessing to our family, Caroline and Dawn helped make my Mom’s last few days brighter and easier and gave my Dad a much needed break. Both my Mom and Dad enjoyed Caroline and Dawn. They immediately became part of our family, they were both professional and we knew they truly cared.
I hope to stay in touch with you and all of us will happily refer others to you. You went above and beyond what we expected and I can tell all of you really cared about not only my Mom, but all of us.
We are new to this homecare world..but since my mother is 93 and still recovering from a fall, we are becoming experienced quickly. Just shortly before we had real need, we discovered Assisting Hands. And now they have been the reason my mother can feel safe and cared for, and still remain in her apt. I can’t say enough good things about them — so very flexible, professional, kind and caring. Thanks for everything your team provides my mom and me! She really enjoys her time with each of the care-providers. Whether it’s going to a doctor appointment, a hair appointment or simply sitting at the table having coffee and donuts, all provide her a feeling of independence, some laughter and companionship. My Mother is the primary caregiver for her husband who has had numerous strokes and is in a wheelchair. Recently, she fell and broke her arm. Our family has always helped to provide support but due to Mom’s recent accident, we decided her situation required greater assistance and sought help outside the family. We called Assisting Hands of Minneapolis who met with us to listen to our situation. They were able to assist us by providing our Mother with companion care, light housekeeping, and grocery shopping on a weekly basis. This has eased the burden on our Mother and helped her recover from her injury. Assisting Hands of Minneapolis has a great staff; they have kind and well trained caregivers and their office team is responsive and very professional to work with. We would recommend them to any family that has an aging parent needing greater assistance in the home.
