ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (July 20, 2016)<\/b> \u2014 Assisting Hands Home Care of St. Pete today announced it is taking memory home care to a higher level with a specialized approach that focuses on social interaction.\u00a0 <\/span><\/div> <\/div>

Through a partnership with Dementia Coach Dr. Cate McCarty, Assisting Hands will now \u201cCreate A Thriving Environment\u2122\u201d for clients and caregivers.\u00a0 <\/span>Thrive, the foundation of the CATE\u2122 approach, will be the focus of Assisting Hands\u2019 Alzheimer care.<\/p><\/div> <\/div>

Assisting Hands\u2019 in-home caregivers can now engage memory loss clients on a new level after they completed the four-hour \u201cCreating A Thriving Environment,\u201d course. Additionally, clients and caregivers can interact socially at the monthly \u201cPark Station Memory Cafe,\u201d located at Roe\u2019s Deli at 5851 Park Blvd. North, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on the second Thursday of every month. The August 11 meeting will include a presentation called, \u201cSummertime, Living is Easy.\u201d<\/p><\/div> <\/div>

\u201cAssisting Hands Home Care is committed to helping clients and caregivers not only survive, but to thrive, both at home and at our monthly Memory Cafe meetings,\u201d said Becky Moultrie, owner of Assisting Hands Home Care of St. Pete.\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cHome health care has become a necessity for our loved ones, but not all health care is the same.\u00a0 <\/span>That\u2019s why we are adding the extra ingredient of CATE.\u201d<\/p><\/div> <\/div>

Moultrie says that in addition to social interaction, the Park Station Memory Cafe will offer a bit of education, a whole lot of camaraderie and laughter.<\/p><\/div> <\/div>
