Assisting Hands Home Care is a Sea Girt-based company that provides professional in-home care services to clients so they can remain safe and happy at home.<\/p>\n

Victoria Hurley-Schubert, director of community relations, earned the CDP designation from the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners this week.<\/p>\n

\u201cDementia and Alzheimer\u2019s care is very personal to me, I wish I had learned all of this when my grandmother was suffering with this terrible disease many years ago,\u201d said Hurley-Schubert. \u201cThe care options and education around it has grown by leaps and bounds since then and I am proud to be part of it, assisting families along their journey with education and resources.\u201d<\/p>\n

The CDP certification represents that the front-line staff and health care professional has received comprehensive knowledge in dementia care, achievement in completing the Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care course\/seminar, met the NCCDP requirements for CDP certification, applied for the CDP certification and received the CDP certification. The CDP commits to ongoing professional development through NCCDP Staff Education Week or other educational opportunities and re-certification every two years.<\/p>\n
