This city is located in Palm Beach County. Boca Raton FL is one of the wealthiest communities in South Florida. This city was first inhabited by the Tequesta Indians.
This unique city has a very interesting history. In 1895 Henry Flagler railroad came to Boca Raton FL. Workers settled and worked on the land, at that time there were only 18 people in this city. Because of the beautiful tropical climate, this area became very popular, and more people came to Boca Raton FL. Later, the Power & Light Company and a telephone line came in 1915. A town called Pearl City was created, which was a historic African-American community. There were new jobs that were created and building. The residents of this city grew to 600 people. This city was known for having a beautiful community. There was a woman’s club formed in the early 1900’s, the women had monthly meetings which gave the women the chance to socialize. The city was first incorporated in 1925.
