Despite common belief, it is not hard to stay healthy, there are so many ways to keep our body active and safe at any age.
Education is key to inform people about factors involving healthy habit lifestyles. As part of our commitment to stay connected with the Palm Beach’s senior community and spread the word of a Healthy Living Lifestyle we are touring the County with a series of talks called “Smoothies for the Soul” an informational and creative conversation with seniors from different Assisted Living Facilities.
“I wanted to have a feel of the senior’s needs and worries. This is why we designed this fun and healthy way to approach our neighbors, prospects and clients. We have been partnered with these organizations to offer a motivational and interactive hour full of healthy habits tips”, said Marina Ramírez, owner of the Assisting Hands Home Care franchise in Palm Beach.
The conversations are about 60 minutes long and includes freshly made smoothies blended and served by our promotional partner and Nurse Practitioner, Elissa Erman. The smoothies are made out of 100% natural products, vegetable and fruits. After Elissa serves the last smoothie she then discuss the benefits of going for a walk, drinking water regularly and keep close track of your diet. After each session, every resident leaves with a different healthy perspective, full bellies and information about our Home Care Services.
For us, the best part, is that seniors can learn new healthy habits and how to prepare their own yummy healthy smoothies. The tours will continue through different communities in Palm Beach County for the remaining of the year. It’s crucial we continue creating health awareness and mobility.
