A Saturday in May, Marina attended the Alzheimer’s Walk Volunteer Summit Meeting<\/a>.\u00a0 It was a wonderful day spent, sharing ideas and gaining valuable knowledge which we will use to raise awareness in each of our communities.\u00a0 It also allowed us to network with \u00a0members and volunteers from other Walks in the region, to exchange ideas and share best practices.\u00a0 Marina is in the picture with Sergio Serbenski, \u00a0Development Manager, Walk to End Alzheimer’s.<\/p>\n

Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer\u2019s\u00ae is the world\u2019s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer\u2019s care<\/a>, support and research. This inspiring event calls on participants of all ages to join the fight against the disease!<\/p>\n

When you participate in a Walk, your fundraising dollars fuel our mission<\/a>, and your participation in the event helps to change the level of Alzheimer\u2019s awareness in your community.\u00a0The Alzheimer\u2019s Association provides free, easy-to-use tools and staff support to help participants reach their fundraising goal. While there is no fee to register, we encourage participants to fundraise in order to contribute to the cause and raise awareness.<\/p>\n

Take the first step by\u00a0finding a Walk near you<\/a>. Once you register, you will have access to a wide range of tools and support through your customized Participant Center. Join us and lead the way to Alzheimer’s first survivor. Together, we can end Alzheimer\u2019s disease!<\/p>\n
