Let\u2019s play a game of \u201cName That Group.\u201d<\/p>\n

This particular group of citizens makes up roughly 20 percent of the American population, with 5.2 million of its members residing in the state of Florida alone.<\/p>\n

This group is full of innovators \u2013 Steven Spielberg, Wynton Marsalis, Michael Jordan, oh, and Madonna, to name a few.<\/p>\n

Lastly, the group in question is responsible for much of the economic and technological development that people all over the world benefit from today.<\/p>\n

You guessed it. I\u2019m talking about the baby boomers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

As Floridians, we all know someone who was born sometime between the mid 1940s and the mid 1960s. Be they our parents, aunts, uncles, brothers, sisters or what have you, they\u2019re essential to our happiness (when we were children and now) so naturally, we want to make sure that they are in the best shape that they can be in \u2013 physically, mentally and emotionally. How can this be done, you ask? By asking the right questions. Some of those questions are:<\/p>\n

  1. How is the quality of life for my mom and\/or dad?<\/li>\n
  2. Are my retired loved ones at risk for injury?<\/li>\n
  3. Is there a way to prevent the frequency of hospitalizations as their health declines?<\/li>\n
  4. Is my loved one having trouble remembering things?<\/li>\n
  5. Would having some professional help around the house be beneficial?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    After asking these questions, assess your answers and then get started on doing some research. Many times, retirees are put into nursing homes when their greatest wish is to be able to enjoy the comfort of their home and retain some independence and dignity. In these cases, a home care agency may be your best bet. When dealing with a home care agency, licensed certified nursing assistants and home health aides provide in-home care for your loved one(s) and ensure that they are living the best life they can.<\/p>\n

    As one of the most influential generations of our time, the very least we could do is make sure that our baby boomers are happy. What steps can you take to ensure that your loved one is taken care of?<\/p>\n
