The most important service we provide to you is taking the time to listen and get to know your loved one so that we can match the right caregiver based on skills and personality. A great match makes all the difference.
Selecting The Caregiver. It’s true that finding the right person to come into your home and care for you or a family member can be confusing, overwhelming and stressful. Our goal at Assisting Hands is to make this process simple, quick and easy. Our caregivers are special. They are trained specifically to provide in-home care. Our nurse provides detailed training to our caregivers in our Bethesda office. And our caregivers have successfully passed extensive background checks and are insured, bonded, and trained in CPR. Most of all, they CARE.
The Process. When you are ready, we will complete the detailed medical and personal profile, with input from family members. This profile is designed to understand unique medical needs, interests, personality traits, and lifestyle of the person needing home care. We conduct the same investigation of our caregivers so that we have the information and the tools to provide you with the best match for in-home care – taking into account both the needs and personal preferences of the person who requires care. We can generally have qualified help placed in your home within 4 hours of the initial call.
The Difference Is Our Caregivers. We understand that our reputation and quality of care depends on the people we hire. We are particular about the people we interview and hire. They must be thoughtful people with the capacity to care and be patient. Our caregivers must be dedicated to providing an important service to our clients. Our caregivers are employees, not contractors. This is important because it provides us the opportunity to ensure consistent and high-quality training of all of our caregivers. And, as employees, our caregivers are given the opportunity to build a career with Assisting Hands Home Care.
