The baby boomer generation consists of more than 70 million veterans and many of them are nearing retirement. These veterans will soon need home care if they choose to age in the familiarity of their homes. You or your loved one may be eligible for Veterans Affairs (VA) benefits if you are a veteran and these will help cover the cost for in-home care<\/a>. VA home health care will help pay for the cost of in-home care for the veteran and their spouse.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Applying for VA Senior Care\"\"<\/h2>\n

If you or your loved one is a veteran and qualify for VA benefits, you must apply through the Department of Veterans Affairs. Once you have been approved for medical benefits, they will cover the cost of after surgery care<\/a> and in-home care from our trained caregivers at Assisting Hands.<\/p>\n

Our licensed caregivers offer compassionate, quality care to help veterans age safely in their own homes. We learn the specific needs of you or your loved one during an assessment and create a care plan that covers those needs. Our VA senior care services<\/a> include assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) and other daily tasks like light housekeeping, transportation, and meal preparation.<\/p>\n

VA Home Health Program<\/h3>\n

Our VA Home Health Program provides up to 12 hours of senior care per week to eligible veterans. Those who qualify for this program must be assessed for geriatric extended care (GEC) from a medical doctor (MD), social worker (SW), and registered nurse (RN).<\/p>\n
