In the beautiful and bustling community of Pinellas County, Florida, seniors are living longer, healthier lives—and many wish to do so in the comfort of their own homes. Meeting this growing need with grace, reliability, and heart is Assisting Hands Home Care®, a leader in home care services designed to empower individuals with dignity and independence.
Founded by Dr. Gail Silverstein, a healthcare professional with a personal passion for elder care, Assisting Hands was born out of her own challenges finding care for her aging father. Her mission became clear: create a caregiving company rooted in love, integrity, and family values. That same mission now shapes the lives of countless seniors across Pinellas County.
A Local Approach to Compassionate Care
What sets Assisting Hands apart in Pinellas is its unwavering dedication to personalized service. Their home care services are thoughtfully tailored to each client’s lifestyle, health needs, and preferences. Whether it’s assistance with bathing, medication reminders, light housekeeping, or simply companionship, caregivers are matched to clients based on both skill and personality, fostering meaningful relationships that go far beyond the tasks at hand.
The company doesn’t believe in a one-size-fits-all solution to elderly care. Instead, they partner with families to understand the full picture: what brings comfort, what routines matter, and what kind of support brings peace of mind.
This local, relationship-first approach has made Assisting Hands a trusted partner for countless families in Pinellas County—families who can now worry less, and enjoy more quality time with their loved ones.
Technology That Puts Seniors First
While the heart of care will always be human, Assisting Hands is also leveraging smart technology to make caregiving more convenient and accessible. A perfect example is AuxoCare, an innovative home care software platform that helps elderly individuals schedule caregivers based on their unique and often changing needs.
Through AuxoCare, clients or their families can book last-minute help for non-medical emergencies, update care preferences, and track upcoming appointments—all from the comfort of their phones or tablets. This tech-forward approach enhances communication, empowers families, and supports caregivers in providing seamless, responsive care.
Values That Guide Every Visit
The core values behind Assisting Hands—God, Integrity, Family, Trust, and Service—are more than just words. They are guiding principles lived out daily by every caregiver, scheduler, and support team member. The company’s operational decisions are always made with compassion and the wellbeing of both clients and their families at the forefront.
Careful hiring and ongoing training solidify Assisting Hands’ reputation for excellence. Each caregiver is vetted, insured, and trained to handle the physical, emotional, and social aspects of elderly care. This commitment ensures not only a safe environment but also a caring and connected one.
