Changing the bathtub to a walk-in tub eliminates the need for them to step up and over the side. Another option is to install a curbless shower that has nothing for them to step over.<\/p>\n<p><strong>#2: Add Grab Bars and Rails<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Installing grab bars and rails is both inexpensive and easy to do. They should be placed near the toilet and the bathtub or shower.
