But thanks to many volunteers and generous donors, more than 700 elders won\u2019t be forgotten this year.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s Elf Season and time for the Annual Elves for Elders collection drive. Since September, case managers, social workers, guardians and others have been collecting names of needy elders in our community and assembling their Christmas wish list. The tags have been created and now hang in Big Lot\u2019s stores and several office locations across the county, including our office at Assisting Hands Home Care, 6251 Park Blvd, Ste 7, Pinellas Park FL.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-563\" src=\"http:\/\/assistinghands.com\/stpete\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/Elves-Party-2015-2-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"elves-party-2015-2\" width=\"181\" height=\"181\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Come by Assisting Hands to pick up a tag and shop for your elder. You\u2019ll love to see what they\u2019ve asked for. One wants a stuffed animal, a new shirt and pants. Another wants a cat toy, slippers &amp; new pajamas. Return your gifts when you come to our Third Annual Elves for Elders Party on Wednesday, November 30th, 4-6 pm. Santa will be on hand for pictures and mom is making her amazing holiday baked goods, plus yummy food from Roe\u2019s Deli. It\u2019s sure to be an amazing afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-562\" src=\"http:\/\/assistinghands.com\/stpete\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/Elves-party-2015-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"elves-party-2015\" width=\"174\" height=\"232\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Can\u2019t make it by to pick up a tag prior to the party, don\u2019t worry! You can bring toiletry items like shampoo, deodorant, lotion, adult briefs and books like crossword puzzles, word searches or adult coloring books. Candy and diabetic treats are always appreciated!
