GOT BOOKS?<\/h1>\n

Do you ever find your bookshelves in need of a good purge? Avid readers have to
\nperiodically find new homes for many of the books they own in order to make
\nroom for new ones. While you can always sell your books at used book stores
\naround town, you could also consider donating them to the Austin Public
\nLibrary\u2019s Recycled Reads Bookstore.<\/p>\n

Recycled Reads, located at 5335 Burnet Road in Austin, takes donations from the
\npublic in addition to processing all of the public library\u2019s discarded materials.
\nVolunteers and library staff sell, recycle or repurpose all the material and the
\nproceeds benefit the Austin Public Library.<\/p>\n

Here are just a few reasons why a visit to Recycled Reads is well worth your time:<\/p>\n

–Incredible prices: Most items are priced at 50 cents to $2 per item
\n–It\u2019s not just books. Media such as DVD\u2019s are available for purchase.
\n–Programming for adults and children. Check out the website for schedules.
\n–Landfill diversion. Recycled Reads diverts approximately 25 tons of materials
\nfrom the landfill each month.<\/p>\n

So, kill two birds with one stone. Round up some old books, take your donation
\nto the store and then hang out to shop for some incredible deals on new
\nmaterials.<\/p>\n
