At Assisting Hands, we believe in the power of community and the joy of celebration. Recently, we had the opportunity to bring both elements together in a heartwarming event. The event provided a wonderful platform for us to engage with local seniors, their families, and caregivers, offering valuable information about our home care services<\/a> and more.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s the Purpose?<\/h2>\n

Last Friday, Assisting Hands had the pleasure of sponsoring Aurora Senior Services<\/a>‘ monthly Birthday Bingo celebration. The purpose of this event was to celebrate everyone with October birthdays and to bring the community together for a day of fun and connection. Over 100 attendees joined in the festivities, creating a lively and joyous atmosphere.<\/p>\n

Our Experiences<\/h2>\n

We set up an information table where many attendees stopped by to learn about our services and gather information. Reggie Schorler, Community Care Director at Assisting Hands Home Care, Batavia, gave a formal presentation on Assisting Hands and the variety of services we offered, such as personal care, dementia care, and hospice care. The event featured a delicious menu of pizza and birthday cake, which everyone enjoyed. Assisting Hands handed out charming Halloween-themed packages containing hand cream, Kleenex, and candy. Several Bingo games with cash jackpots followed, creating excitement and fun for all participants. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with the seniors, answer their questions, and see their enthusiasm for the games and prizes. The friendly competition and thrill of winning brought a contagious energy to the room, making it a memorable day for everyone involved.<\/p>\n

A heartfelt thank you to Aurora Senior Services for organizing such a wonderful event and to all the attendees for making it so special. Meeting so many lovely seniors and hearing their stories was a highlight of the day.
