We all react differently to medicine, and many seniors take quite a few types. Doctors issue specific orders as far as how to ingest or apply certain medications (e.g. consume with food, apply a certain dosage, take once in the morning and once in the evening, etc.).<\/p>\n<p>This is because using medication improperly can result in loss of balance, dizziness, and similar symptoms. It is proactive to seek out physical exercises from your physician, as well. See if they can supply balance training movements to help develop weakening muscles. Increasing physical activity in a controlled manner can go a long way in preventing falls. It is often beneficial to start this training with an evaluation by a physical therapist and audiologist.<\/p>\n<h2>Keep Your Home Clean<\/h2>\n<p>Another great way to prevent falls is to make your at-home environment work for you. Seniors are notorious for letting paperwork and other items pile up. Similarly, many also have a difficult time with cleaning.
