How to Prevent Arthritis

January 16, 2020Blogsteuscher

Arthritis is the pain you feel on the inside of your joints. Arthritis is a general term for pain in your joints. There are hundreds of different types of arthritis. Some types have links to genetics and others can be prevented. Millions of Americans deal with common symptoms. There are a ton of different ways that you can prevent and treat arthritis. Some of these tips and tricks can help prevent other diseases as well.

Maintain a Healthy Weight

The most important part about preventing arthritis is maintaining a healthy weight. Every pound overweight that you are it increases the stress on all of your joints. It’s easy to see why a lot of knees and hips need to be replaced. One kind of unknown fact is that overweight women are more than 3 times more likely to get arthritis.

Exercise Regularly

In order to gain muscle you must first tear it. That’s why exercise and movement is super important. The same principle happens with your joints. Your joints build up strength when you exercise. There are infinite beneficial reasons why we all need more exercise. With strong muscles your joints have an easier load because your muscles take some of the burden. Some exercises can damage your joints as well. If you are worried about this make sure to consult a professional.

Get Your Omega-3’s

If you take in omega-3s it significantly helps with your joints.

The best way to get your omega 3s is to eat fish. Some locations its super hard to get fresh fish, sardines and tuna are some that are a pretty good substitute for mackerel or trout. Omega 3s also come in capsule and pill form. Make sure to consult with your family doctor before buying any multivitamin or fish oil.

Protect Your Joints

As you learn more about  your joints and arthritis you can change some of your daily exercises and diet to help protect and prevent arthritis. A lot of the things that have been discussed are preventing joint damage from the beginning. In sports or work, it’s super important to wear protective equipment depending on the task. If you think you have arthritis make sure to tell your doctor and they will know for sure whether it is arthritis or another problem. Arthritis won’t just stop. You can help your body. Once you know you have arthritis make sure to take precautionary steps in your life.
