Requirements for Live-in Care:
Private Bedroom for the caregiver to sleep.
Caregiver must be able to sleep for 8 hours, 5 of which is uninterrupted.
Caregiver can take 3 one-hour breaks during the day. She will stay the premises and may spend the time eating a meal or making a personal phone call.
Live-In Caregiver Schedule:
Live in caregivers will rotate through a weekly schedule.
Caregiver 1: 4 days/week
Caregiver 2: 3 days/week
Setup Time:
At Assisting Hands, we are skilled at working quickly to meet changing needs. Setting up live-in care requires the most lead time. We like to have a minimum of 1 full week in order to find the best match.

A typical day usually includes assisting your loved one with her morning routine (taking a shower, getting dressed, making breakfast, brushing teeth), doing some light housekeeping, companionship, preparing lunch and dinner, and making sure she is safe and comfortable before bed. A live-in caregiver gives peace of mind to families that someone is always in the home in case of emergency.
24-Hour Home Care in Winnetka, IL
24/7 care is truly the highest level of service care we can provide. 24-hour home care is billed at the hourly rate. No extra bedroom is required. The caregivers stay awake throughout the night.
24-Hour Home Care Schedule
24-hour home care is scheduled in two 12-hour shifts each day. A typical schedule is 8am – 8pm and then 8pm – 8am. Our overnight caregivers stay awake throughout the night and are available to keep a watchful eye on your loved one.
