A sampling of the topics include:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Managing personal care, bathing and toileting\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Providing support to a client with Alzheimer\u2019s<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Assisting with ambulation and transfers\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Providing engaging companionship activities for clients<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Detecting and reporting abuse\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Identifying the signs of a stroke and other life-threatening emergencies.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Our caregivers are required to go through yearly training that focuses on <\/span><b>specialized topics including <\/b><b>strokes, Parkinson&#8217;s,<\/b><b> and dementia.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A Certified Dementia Practitioner oversees each training program, and we take our responsibility to<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> uphold this annual state requirement very seriously.
