Her grandfathers were her inspiration \u2013 when she was 17, she moved in with one of her grandfathers with dementia to be his caregiver.<\/p>\n<p>Dementia care and education are a personal passion, and she spent 14 years at Atria Summit Hills Senior Living as their Memory Care Director, where she managed a staff of 25.<\/p>\n<p>Her passion is not confined to the workplace \u2013 about a decade ago, she began volunteering with the Alzheimer\u2019s Association. She currently enjoys running three of their support groups. She is also heavily involved with Giving Voice, a nonprofit dedicated to providing programming for those with memory loss and their families.
