10 Early Warning Signs of Dementia Workshop

Thank you to the staff and residents at Heritage Oaks for hosting us last night in their beautiful community. Cathy Hamlin, our very own Certified Teepa Snow Coach, led a workshop on The 10 Early Warning Signs of Dementia. All of the participants were very engaged, asked a lot of really great questions and left knowing more about Dementia, it’s early warning signs and positive steps you can take to deal with this devastating condition.

Dementia Workshop

Today Assisting Hands Richmond had the pleasure to conduct a Dementia Workshop led by our very own Cathy Hamlin at InnovAge in Richmond. About twenty of InnovAge’s outstanding staff participated in the workshop that dealt with Understanding and Responding to Dementia-related Behavior. Cathy, who is a Certified Teepa Snow Coach, walked the group through an effective four step process to help achieve more positive outcomes when dealing with difficult behaviors exhibited by people living with Dementia. Thank you to the InnovAge team for opening their doors to us and allowing us to share this material.

Chesterfield Fire Department – Valentine’s Day

A HUGE Thank You to my Mom (Karen Rohr) for baking over 750 cookies for the Chesterfield Fire Department for Valentine’s Day! On Thursday Assisting Hands Richmond and Harmony at Ironbridge will be delivering these boxes of pure goodness to each of the fire stations in Chesterfield County (shhh don’t spoil the surprise). Both Assisting Hands Richmond and Harmony at Ironbridge want to recognize the dedicated individuals in the Chesterfield Fire Department for their amazing hearts for service.

Thank you Mom, you are the best and almost every cookie made it into the cookie boxes!
