We brought along one of our parrots, and word spread quickly through the building. It was the quieter moments. For residents who couldn\u2019t leave their rooms, we walked the parrot from door to door so no one felt left out. Seeing a resident\u2019s expression change from surprise to laughter during a simple bedside visit is something you can\u2019t plan \u2014 it just happens.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1122\" data-end=\"1349\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">These regular community events are our way of giving back.
