Assisting Hands held its monthly Lunch and Learn session last weekend with special guests Liz and Scott from Compassus. Compassus provides Hospice and Palliative care services and worked with all the attendees to understand and explore the differences between the two. This was very educational for all of us. We also discussed the different types of Advanced Directives and how to have that conversation with our clients. This can be emotional and stressful, but it eases transitions for the family and helps the client relax knowing that their wishes will be respected.
