Assisting Hands held our last Lunch and Learn of 2023 a week ago, hosted by our very own Allie C. Allie is our Recruiter, an active Caregiver, and has a wealth of knowledge and experience on many subjects. At this event, she shared techniques on avoiding burnout, which is definitely an occupational hazard in our industry. We also discussed and practiced the NVC (Non-Violent Communication) technique, which helps us set boundaries without blaming or criticizing. Allie is an informative and dynamic speaker, and we are already planning some other topics for her to discuss with us!
