Today was the 2026 Colorado Ride to End ALZ! Hundreds of participants rode on 4 different courses and raised over $680,000 (as of this morning), 100% of which will be going to research into Alzheimer’s and dementia.
At Assisting Hands, we have been honored to help care for so many clients living with Alzheimer’s and other dementia. These diseases affect not just our clients, but their whole families. Assisting Hands can help relieve some of the burden and stress. Our mission is always to help our clients achieve their maximum potential for independence, no matter what diagnosis or conditions they may be struggling with.
I rode today with two bandannas – the purple one for family and clients that I have lost to Alzheimer’s and dementia, and the yellow one to signify that I (along with our hard working, big-hearted caregivers) help care for someone (or many someones!) with dementia.
Thanks to all my friends and family who donated, and to everyone across the country for contributing to a great cause!
