Home care costs vary based on where you live, the type of home care you need and the amount of care you require.
How is home care paid for?
We provide a variety of payment options to best suit your needs. If you are paying out of pocket, you may choose to receive your invoice via email or regular mail and choose your payment option either via check, a debit to your checking account or with a credit card. If you are paying via LTC insurance, we fax all the documents to the LTC provider and accept payment directly from the insurer.
Is home care covered by insurance or Medicare?
Assisting Hands provides non-medical home health care services. Our caregivers help with personal care, light housekeeping, medication reminders, transportation and grooming options, and more but we do not provide medical therapy, mental health services, or other health care nursing services. Therefore, our home care services are not covered by Medicare and Medicaid.
