If you\u2019d prefer to do a crossword puzzle online, try <a href=\"https:\/\/puzzles.usatoday.com\/\">USA Today\u2019s puzzle games<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h6><strong>Read a book<\/strong><\/h6>\n<p>Grab a fiction book and escape to far-away places while trying to imagine what the worlds would look like visually or pick up some non-fiction literature and learn a bunch of new things you\u2019d always wanted to know more about. Since you can\u2019t walk to the library right now, try ordering your books from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/\">Amazon<\/a>\u00a0or\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.barnesandnoble.com\/\">Barnes and Noble<\/a>\u00a0or you can get an ebook version for your\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Kindle-eBooks\/b?node=154606011\">Kindle<\/a>\u00a0or from\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/books?utm_source=na_Med&amp;utm_medium=offsem&amp;utm_content=Jan3017&amp;utm_campaign=Evergreen&amp;pcampaignid=MKT-DR-na-us-1000189-Med-offsem-bk-Evergreen-Jan3017-Text_Search_BKWS-id_100255_%7cEXA%7cOFFSEM_kwid_43700020590323295&amp;gclid=CNqq7J6e-OgCFWaXxQId2SAD9A&amp;gclsrc=ds\">Google Books<\/a>.\u00a0 Digital books also gives you the option to read any book in large print if that\u2019s your preference.<\/p>\n<h6><strong>Put together a jigsaw puzzle<\/strong><\/h6>\n<p>Try a 1000-piece or more complicated puzzle or try something simpler and go for bigger pieces with wildlife and nature scenes. Whatever you choose, when you do a puzzle, you\u2019re using multiple cognitive functions and the exercise is also a protective factor for visuospatial cognitive aging.<\/p>\n<h6><strong>Play a musical instrument<\/strong><\/h6>\n<p>Maybe you\u2019ve played guitar your whole life or maybe you have a passion for the piano. Or maybe you\u2019ve never played an instrument in your life. No matter what the circumstances, playing an instrument can help you use the creative side of your brain, and if you\u2019re learning a whole new instrument or some new songs, the concentration it takes to learn something new strengthens your brain!<\/p>\n<h6><strong>Learn a new language<\/strong><\/h6>\n<p>Websites such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.duolingo.com\/\">duolingo<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.babbel.com\/\">babbel<\/a> allow you to learn a new language at your own pace.
