Assisting Hands Home Care serving Potomac franchise owner, Steve Lorberbaum, was recognized as the 2018 Franchisee of the Year during the International Franchise Association’s (IFA) annual Franchise Action Network meeting in Washington, D.C.

Lorberbaum opened Assisting Hands serving Potomac in September 2014 upon realizing the demand for caregiving services after managing the care of his parents.

“Steve is an extremely talented and dedicated franchise owner at Assisting Hands,” said Lane Kofoed, CEO of Assisting Hands Home Care’s national office. “Year after year he works diligently to grow his business and increase his bottom line.  We are pleased to honor Steve and his team at Assisting Hands Home Care Potomac.”

“It is a great honor to receive this award,” said Lorberbaum.  “It lets me know that Assisting Hands’ leadership values my effort both in terms of the economic contribution I make but also the advice and counsel I give to other franchisees and the corporate team.”

Licensed as a Residential Service Agency by the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, Assisting Hands serving Potomac serves Montgomery County, Maryland including Potomac, North Potomac, Bethesda, North Bethesda, Chevy Chase, Silver Spring, Takoma Park, Gaithersburg, Olney, Germantown, and beyond. The office is at 4853 Cordell Avenue, Suite PH-10A, in Bethesda.

“I greatly enjoy the work we do in serving our community and in providing peace of mind and stress relief to our clients and their families,” said Lorberbaum.  “It is truly an honor to be trusted by our clients to come into their homes and help brighten their day.”

Lorberbaum says he can only speak to Assisting Hands Franchisees when he says this is a business about caring and having a passion for enriching the lives of others. He believes that if you focus on providing exceptional care to your clients, open communication with their families and honor and respect the outstanding work of your caregiving team, the rest works out.
