Goering Center Honors Assisting Hands Serving Cincinnati

Congratulations to franchise owners Greg and Kim Kling, Assisting Hands Home Care serving Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky, who were recently named by The Goering Center as one of Greater Cincinnati’s top family and private businesses.

Out of 500 nominees, 75 semi-finalist businesses were selected. Then, on September 11th, six winning companies and 12 finalists were celebrated at the 19th annual awards event. Assisting Hands Home was honored as a Cincinnati Family Business with more than 76-Employees.

“We were truly honored to be recognized by the Goering Center among some of the most revered companies in Cincinnati,” said Greg Kling.  “We have been blessed by a great team that has helped make our success possible.”

The Goering Center is a prominent Cincinnati non-profit organization affiliated with the University of Cincinnati that promotes the growth of family-owned businesses. The center’s annual award ceremony is a region-wide event designed to showcase the unique successes of Greater Cincinnati’s family and private businesses that have contributed to our economy and community growth, and that reflect best business practices.

The awards are intended to embrace the full range of family and private business — large and small, new and old, whether members of the Goering Center or not — as a way to recognize the important role that these enterprises play in the vitality of our region.

The Goering Center website includes a quote from its founder, which says, “The ultimate goal of the Goering Center is to see people succeed in both their family and business life, thus moving forward in their journey. It truly never gets old to hear their testimonies of success.” 

The night closed with a celebration of the career of Goering Center founder and chairman John Goering, who will soon become chairman emeritus. The honor included an appearance by the University of Cincinnati marching band. 

Nearly 700 people attended the center’s event at Jack Cincinnati Casino.
