Assisting Hands Home Care\u00ae\u00a0grew out of a desire to provide seniors, and others needing non-medical assistance at home, with the option that most people prefer \u2013 to remain independent, safe and comfortable in their own homes. Assisting Hands\u00ae\u00a0is a home care franchise company that emphasizes exceptional customer service and highly personalized in-home care to meet the needs of our clients.<\/span><\/p>\n

The founder of Assisting Hands Home Care\u00ae is Dr. Gail Silverstein. Terri Robbins is the president and owner of Assisting Hands Houston, which is located in Humble. As a franchisee, she provides Houston senior care for clients in Humble, North Houston, Kingwood, Spring, Crosby, Huffman, New Caney, Porter and Splendora.\u00a0 As an Area Representative, Terri leads the team of Houston-area franchisees — Assisting Hands Pearland<\/a>, Assisting Hands West Houston<\/a>, Assisting Hands Cypress<\/a>, and Assisting Hands North Houston<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Terri’s desire for home health care stems from a dream she and her mother, Claire Gulsby, had of owning and operating a hospice business in Humble.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>Before they could launch the business, her mother was diagnosed with breast cancer.\u00a0<\/span>A stay-at-home mom at the time, Robbins became the primary caregiver for her mother.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>Every day after she dropped off her children at school, she headed to her parents\u2019 home.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>She bathed and dressed her mom, prepared meals and tidied up the house in between housekeeper visits.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Terri credits Gail for her decision to become a franchise owner. Gail has more than 25 years of experience coordinating and leading health care programs in both the public and private sector. It was Gail\u2019s understanding of the health care industry, along with the personal experience of trying to find Houston senior care assistance for her father at home, that led her to realize there was a serious gap in services. Out of this need, Assisting Hands\u00ae was launched \u2013 to provide a better alternative for the elderly, disabled and others needing a little extra support and assistance to stay home!<\/div> <\/div> <\/div><\/div>
