Meet the Team

Tri Tran, Owner and CEO

 

Tri has over 25 years experience in leading business and technology companies. He started the local Assisting Hands office after having a tough time finding great care for his father and mother-in-law. He’s a Certified Dementia Practitioner. Prior to Assisting Hands, he founded and was CEO of Munchery, an on-demand meal delivery service that launched in the San Francisco Bay Area and eventually expanded to major cities in the country. Tri came to the US when he was 11 years old and earned both Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees from MIT. He enjoys playing tennis outside of work.

Patti O’Kelly, Nursing Director

 

Patti is responsible for overseeing our training, client assessments and supervisory visits. She has over 30 years experience as a Registered Nurse, from care for nursing home residents to home care, from operating rooms to trauma ICUs. She has extensive experience managing other nurses, medical assistants, and other administrative staff. Patti holds a BS in Nursing from Duquesne University and is CCRN, BLS and ACLS certified. She enjoys hiking with her family and playing tennis or pickleball.

Julie Wing, Senior Manager of Client Services

 

Julie oversees our scheduling and client care, and assists with building relationships with our partners. Julie comes with prior experience as a coordinator at Saint Mary’s College. Julie earned her Bachelor’s at Saint Mary’s College of California and is an MBA student at San Francisco State University. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with friends, family, and her dog.

Michelle Bullington, Staffing Manager

 

Michelle is a Staffing Manager with a diverse background in care management, recruiting, executive assistance, and professional caregiving. Her hands-on experience allows her to approach staffing with empathy, organization, and a deep understanding of both client and employee needs. She is committed to building strong relationships and ensuring thoughtful, effective placements. Outside of work, Michelle is a passionate surfer and musician, bringing creativity, balance, and energy into everything she does.

Jake Blocker, Client Services Manager

 

As Client Services Manager at Assisting Hands, Jake connects clients with compassionate, qualified caregivers. With over 5 years of experience in healthcare and client success, he is driven by a deep commitment to making a positive impact on others. His passion for home care grew after caring for his father following a stroke—an experience that shaped his understanding of the importance of quality, reliable support. Jake holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications from Sacramento State and is a certified EMT. Outside of work, he enjoys staying active, playing sports, camping and traveling.

Janine Cox, Scheduling and Recruiting Coordinator

 

Janine is in charge of scheduling operations and helps out with recruiting caregivers. She is a licensed CNA and EMT and was previously a superstar caregiver herself. Others describe her as an “old soul” and a caring listener who brightens everyone’s day. Janine studied Public Health Administration at Chico State University and is taking a break from nursing school. Outside of work, Janine is a creative at heart and loves to spend her free time crafting and exploring.

Leidee Escasa, Scheduling Coordinator

 

Leidee is responsible for supporting daily scheduling operations and client care coordination. Handles caregiver and client schedules, communicates promptly to ensure smooth coverage, and assists with resolving day-to-day staffing needs. Also provides essential administrative support that contributes to efficient office workflows. Detail-oriented, dependable, and committed to delivering high-quality service and a positive experience for both clients and caregivers.

Addy Naynes, Recruiting Coordinator

 

Addy is a dedicated professional who loves helping teams run smoothly through applicant screening, administrative support, scheduling, recruitment assistance, and phone handling. She enjoys making everyone’s day easier by keeping things organized, supporting hiring efforts, and ensuring daily tasks flow without a hitch. Addy is passionate about creating simple, efficient processes and is someone who enjoys movies and cliché books.

Nicole Mangubos, Recruiting Coordinator

 

Nicole is a detail-oriented recruitment professional with a strong focus on communication, organization, and efficiency. She takes pride in supporting hiring teams, coordinating interviews, and building positive connections with candidates throughout the recruitment process. She is known for her reliability, adaptability, and ability to manage tasks efficiently in fast-paced environments. Outside of work, she enjoys watching anime, reading manhwa and manga, and exploring new interests that allow her to continue learning and developing new skills.
