Meet the Team

Rachel Haines, Branch Manager- Nampa Office

Rachel Haines is the branch manager for our Nampa office. She joined the Assisting Hands team as a Client Care Coordinator in the spring of 2021. Prior to starting with the agency, she spent many years in the financial world working for a small credit union in Oregon. During her time in banking, she developed skills in providing excellent customer service, conflict resolution, and systematic organization. Her strong ability to understand, communicate, and empathize with clients and caregivers make her a great leader and valuable asset to the office.

Rachel loves the outdoors and enjoys camping and hiking with her husband, two daughters, Wirehaired Pointing Griffon, and Golden Retriever. She also is a big fan of true crime, interior design, baking, red wine, and cuddling with her cat.

Jessica Ehinger, RN- Nampa Office

Upon earning her degree, Jessica Ehinger, RN’s original career path landed her in the financial services sector and then working in real estate for a time. It was her desire to continue learning and to find work that she felt would be especially meaningful that ultimately led her to make the transition into the medical field as a home health and hospice nurse.

Bringing with her a wealth of knowledge and a heart of compassion, we were thrilled when she agreed to join on with the agency, writing client care plans for the Nampa office.


Not only does Jessica’s magnetic personality foster genuine relationships with her patients but they, as well as their caregivers, greatly benefit from her exceptional observational and problem solving skills. Her integrity, advocacy, and willingness to listen to the concerns of clients and their families help to deliver the highest quality of care for those we serve.

Despite a busy workweek, Jessica and her husband of over 25 years still manage to find time for camping trips, family game nights, spoiling their two dogs, playing pickleball, and of course doting on their three grandchildren.

Cade Metcalf, Client Service Manager- Nampa Office

Assisting Hands welcomed Cade Metcalf to the office in October of 2023 as our Client Care Coordinator. His role involves both client services management as well as the direct supervision of our wonderful caregivers. He is diligent in setting up services and building schedules that are conducive for our clients and caregivers after determining need and compatibility. Having experience in the ownership and operation of a small business, Cade has a strong background in customer service. His genuine care and compassion is reflective in his daily interactions with his staff and the persons served.

A car enthusiast, whether it’s old cars, fast cars, drag cars, or drift cars, he’s a fanatic. Cade was born in Texas, but considers himself an Idahoan having spent most of his life in the Gem State. He studied at Barclay College in Haviland, KS where he met his wife. They make an effort to get out in the open air for lots of camping and fishing, accompanied by their two dogs, Bo and Rosie.

Leona Vanderpool, HR Generalist/Compliance Coordinator - Nampa Office

Leona Vanderpool’s educational background is in Information Technology and Medical Administration. She began working in home health care in 2004 and quickly became devoted to enhancing the quality of life for her clients. Already experienced in the field, caregiving became more personal to Leona as her aging parents’ health declined and she stepped in to render aid. Leona was hired on to work for Assisting in Hands in 2016. Initially providing direct support to clients in their homes, she now shares her passion and invaluable knowledge with applicants, during their onboarding process, equipping them with the tools needed to be successful in their role as in-home caregivers for our agency.

Leona has lived in the Treasure Valley for most of her life. She is a member of a close knit family and spending quality time with her children and grandchildren is what brings her the most joy. She’s also fond of the ocean, hummingbirds, a good ol’ horror flick, and a great cup of coffee!

Ally McDaniel, Operations Coordinator- Nampa Office

Ally McDaniel attended college at Grand Canyon University in Arizona where she earned her degree in Healthcare Administration. She returned home to Idaho in May of 2024 and it was around that time that she was hired on with Assisting Hands as our office’s Operations Coordinator. The work she does within our scheduling software helps to keep things running smoothly, effectively providing support behind the scenes for our front-end operations. Her management of many unseen functions is what enables office staff to make client services their main priority.
Wise beyond her years, Ally is sharp as a tack, tough as nails, and sweet as pie. She was born into a dedicated rodeo family and certainly upholds the unwritten cowboy code that stems from respect, courtesy, and the understanding of the importance of possessing a good work ethic. Ally is motivated to learn, she loves to travel, spend quality time with loved ones, and focus on what exciting opportunities the future may hold.

Wendy Taylor, Client Relations Specialist - Nampa Office

Seasoned in the field, our Client Relations Specialist, Wendy Taylor, has over 25 years of experience in the care industry. Through managing a group home for disabled adults and pouring her heart into the lives of children in the school system, she has acquired a deep understanding of the importance and necessity of supporting the impaired. Her attentiveness, patience, and authenticity lend to the personalization in the individualized services we are honored to offer.

Wendy attended Eugene Bible College in Oregon and went on to get her Masters of Divinity from Kings College and Seminary. With a heart to serve, she leads a women’s group for survivors of abuse and is very active in her home church. She enjoys spending time with friends, going to concerts, crafting, watching comedy and action movies, and loving on her two dogs.

Stephanie Pantoja, Office Support Specialist- Nampa Office

Stephanie Pantoja began her employment with the agency in the spring of 2024. Bright and determined, she is committed to helping Assisting Hands’ clients to stay safe and comfortable in their homes for as long as possible. Both in her role as a direct care staff and continuing as she transitioned into the office, she is attentive to the many moving parts of our agency that are crucial for facilitating this opportunity. Inspired by her mother who works in healthcare, Stephanie has a heart for taking great care of people.
 
Stephanie grew up in eastern Oregon and studied at Treasure Valley Community College before moving to Idaho where she began working in childcare. Always up for adventure, Stephanie enjoys trying out new foods, exploring different hiking spots, and visiting amusement parks. She adores water activities, indulging in her favorite TV shows, taking family vacations, and time spent with friends.
