We are so proud to announce our Health Care Hero for March – Akelia is celebrating 2 years on our team. Originally from Jamaica, Akelia, has been serving as a Health Care Hero for many years, first working at a memory care community and then joining the Assisting Hands family 2 years ago. Many times when you call our office it is her friendly voice that greets you. When our caregivers arrive for by-weekly Covid testing Akelia has already set up the testing room and assists our team to complete their testing and get them scheduled for their next tests. In addition , Akelia ensures that the employee files are in order and up to date. She does not stop here…in order for us to honor our commitment to our clients to staff all shifts they request, when needed, Akelia “takes her skills on the road” and lovingly provides care in a superb and skilled way. This mom of 2 also handles our on-call one night a week-again ensuring clients get the service they know and expect.
Akelia is a great example that sets the standard for promptness, teamwork and being willing to serve where needed.

Becky Moultrie is Owner and Administrator of Assisting Hands Home Care Serving Pinellas. Guided by a motto to Do Good with Love, she’s well positioned to do just that at Assisting Hands. She has a passion for helping families keep seniors and those who are diabled happy and healthy at home. She serves on a number of boards in Pinellas County including the Pinellas Park Gateway Chamber and Better Living Seniors (BLS), leading the Membership Committee. Annually, she hosts a Silver Santa Party, collecting donations for nearly 100 low income seniors in the county. She attends Blessed Sacrament Church, Seminole where she is an Ascribed Member of the Rosminian Order. When not busy Doing Good in the community, Becky is at home with her husband David & their 4 children, tending to their beehives and digging in the garden.
