Assisting Hands Home Care Serving Pinellas is excited to announce their participation in the 2017 Silver Santas program, f.k.a. Elves for Elders. We’ll be hosting our 3rd annual holiday party on Wednesday, November 29th, 4-6 pm in support of this program.
Silver Santas is a grassroots community effort here in Pinellas County that provides gifts during the holiday season to isolated and low-income seniors living in assisted living, senior housing communities and at home. The purpose of the program is to provide gifts and seasonal cheer to those who might otherwise be forgotten during the holidays.
Want to get involved? Then come to our party on November 29th! Pick a tag off our tree and go shopping. The tag contains a senior’s wish list for clothing, toiletries and other needed items. Return the tag & bag no later than December 1 so that we can distribute the items in time for the holidays. If you want to go shopping early or just want to make sure you get a tag, call our office at 727-748-4211 and we’ll pull a tag for you in advance of the party and you can bring your gift on the 29th. Donations of hygiene products, candy and other small personal care items are also needed to fill out the gift bags.
Silver Santas www.silversantas.org, is a program of the Senior Resources Committee of Better Living for Seniors (BLS). BLS is a volunteer organization made up of businesses and individuals that work with seniors and is affiliated with the Area Agency on Aging of Pasco-Pinellas, Inc. www.BLSPinellas.org

Becky Moultrie is Owner and Administrator of Assisting Hands Home Care Serving Pinellas. Guided by a motto to Do Good with Love, she’s well positioned to do just that at Assisting Hands. She has a passion for helping families keep seniors and those who are diabled happy and healthy at home. She serves on a number of boards in Pinellas County including the Pinellas Park Gateway Chamber and Better Living Seniors (BLS), leading the Membership Committee. Annually, she hosts a Silver Santa Party, collecting donations for nearly 100 low income seniors in the county. She attends Blessed Sacrament Church, Seminole where she is an Ascribed Member of the Rosminian Order. When not busy Doing Good in the community, Becky is at home with her husband David & their 4 children, tending to their beehives and digging in the garden.
