March for Meals
Yesterday, on March 11th, Assisting Hands Home Care had participated in the Schaumburg Senior Center’s March for Meal’s event. Together, we had packed over 100 meals for seniors in need.
The March for Meals Program is an annual, national campaign that aims to raise awareness of senior hunger and encourage action on a local level. It is the collaboration of local community organizations, all levels of government, individuals, and businesses to ensure that our seniors are not forgotten. Through volunteering, speaking, or donating, we can help them to live more happy, healthy, independent lives at home.
March on Wheels has touched the lives of hundreds of seniors with home care needs, providing them with the nutrition they need, driving notable improvements in their home health.
