We are now looking for a Community Educator to join our growing team and help us strengthen our community partnerships and expand our impact.
About the Role
The Community Educator plays a key role in connecting our agency with the Schaumburg community and surrounding Northwest suburbs. This position is about building relationships – with healthcare providers, senior living communities, and local organizations – to increase awareness of Assisting Hands services and help families access the support they need.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain referral relationships with local hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation centers, assisted living communities, physician offices, senior centers, and other community partners.
- Conduct presentations and community outreach visits to share information about Assisting Hands’ services.
- Attend networking events, senior fairs, and local activities to represent our home care agency Schaumburg and promote brand awareness.
- Collaborate with the office manager and care team to ensure seamless client intake and onboarding.
- Track outreach efforts, referral activity, and outcomes to meet and exceed growth goals.
What We’re Looking For
- Sales, business development, or community outreach experience (healthcare industry experience a plus but not required).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated, goal-driven, and comfortable working independently.
- A genuine passion for helping seniors and families.
- Reliable transportation for local travel.
