Yohaima Leon

Administrator (Region 8 Counties)

Yohaima Leon is an accomplished professional whose diverse background in the hospitality industry uniquely aligns with the Assisting Hands model. With a proven track record as an office manager in hospitality, Yohaima has demonstrated an exceptional ability to handle numerous tasks, navigate various issues, manage different personalities, and address inquiries with a keen sense of efficiency.

Beginning her career as a Talent Specialist, Yohaima quickly rose through the ranks due to her exceptional skills and dedication. Over time, she transitioned into the role of Administrator at Assisting Hands, a position that now encompasses the oversight of over 100 caregiving employees. In this capacity, Yohaima has played a pivotal role in ensuring that the needs of thousands of clients are met with the highest standards of care.

One of Yohaima’s key strengths lies in her commitment to the well-being of both caregiving employees and clients. She takes pride in working closely with caregiving staff to ensure they receive the necessary training and possess the skills required to tailor their services to meet the unique care needs of each client. Her dedication to fostering a supportive and well-trained caregiving team has undoubtedly contributed to the success and reputation of Assisting Hands.

Beyond her professional achievements, Yohaima enjoys spending quality time with her sons and has a deep appreciation for travel, especially to and from her native Puerto Rico. Her bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish further enhances her ability to connect with a diverse range of individuals, fostering effective communication and understanding within the Assisting Hands community.

Toni Yeomans

Business Development Director for Sarasota County North (i.e. Sarasota, Longboat Key, Siesta Key, and Palmer Ranch) and Lakewood Ranch

Toni Yeomans moved to Sarasota from Detroit in 2006. With over 25 years of experience in healthcare marketing and business development, she brings a wealth of expertise and dedication to her work.

Toni is deeply passionate about her community and believes strongly in accessible healthcare and support for aging loved ones and their families. Her background in hospice care has given her a profound understanding of the importance of treating people with dignity and respect during their aging process or as they support their loved ones. She is a staunch advocate for ensuring the elderly and veterans receive the respect and services they deserve, and for providing families with the necessary support.

With empathy and compassion at the core of her work, Toni finds true joy in assisting families and helping them navigate during some of their most challenging times.

In her free time, Toni enjoys spending time with her family, cheering on her son at his soccer games, biking, and exploring Sarasota’s beautiful beaches and outdoor activities. She holds a YTT200 (Yoga Teacher Training) certificate and loves exercising, practicing yoga, gardening, cooking, and reading.

Toni has a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Davenport University.

Breanna Curtiss

Account Executive, Client Relations for Manatee County

Breanna Curtiss relocated to Bradenton, Florida from Somerset, Kentucky in 2018. The following year, she began her professional journey in senior care, working as a Social Worker in a Skilled Nursing Facility. Since that time, she has held leadership roles in Assisted Living and Memory Care settings, serving as both Sales Director and Executive Director, before becoming a valued member of the Assisting Hands Home Care team.

Breanna is guided by a deep passion for service and a genuine sense of empathy toward those she encounters. She is committed to helping individuals and families find clear, supportive paths tailored to their unique circumstances, ensuring a dignified and compassionate approach to care.

As the first in her family to graduate from both high school and college, Breanna holds a Bachelor’s Degree and takes great pride in her accomplishments. In her free time, she enjoys the companionship of her two cherished cats—proudly embracing the title of “crazy cat lady.” Her hobbies include traveling internationally, singing karaoke, playing billiards, and spending meaningful time with her fiancée, family, and friends.

To Breanna, every person she supports is more than a client—they are treated as part of her extended family.

Alexis Nguyen, MBA

Owner

Alexis Nguyen is an executive with 30+ years of experience in healthcare business and technology.   She was a certified Project Manager (PMP) who rose through the ranks to become the Senior Director of a medical department in one of the country’s largest healthcare insurers.  Guided by a commitment to multiculturalism, she has developed multi-year strategy plans and created, shaped and cultivated the “Best in Class” culture.   She is driven to spread kindness and compassion, ultimately making this world a better place to live.

Alexis graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Keller Graduate School of Management for her MBA degree.  Her personal interests include business, leadership, trekking, volunteerism, culinary, traveling, cultures, politics and human rights.

She is a Board of Trustee Member on the Florida Council on Aging and an Advisory Board Council in healthcare. Alexis speaks English and Vietnamese.
