Navigating the care industry can be complex. What is covered under our insurance and what are our out of pocket costs? Will I need this service for a few weeks or several years? We understand the need to budget carefully when considering home care options and we’re happy to answer any questions about how to pay for care. 

Private Pay Service: At Assisting Hands Home Care, you are a client, not a patient. Caregiving services are private, custodial home based services. We can provide an account statement for tax purposes at the end of the year. If you’re looking for medicaid or home based services programs, we can point you in the right direction. 

Long-term insurance is often the most popular and best option when paying for home care. This is a great benefit for those who have invested in a policy for several years and we can assist you with the process to get started.

Although not all insurance companies will cover these costs and even include a waiting period such as a 90 day elimination period after receiving assistance before families are allowed access to funds. This insurance will also have coverage limits in dollar amounts that the policy holder is allowed to spend. 

Assisting Hands Home Care recommends familiarizing yourself with the requirements and dollar amount limits in your long-term insurance plan and comparing them with the average cost of care in your areas. Our team at Assisting Hands will provide all the documentation necessary to the LTC insurance company to ensure prompt reimbursement.

VA Benefits

Many Veterans may receive help through the home based services program at their local VA hospital. Assisting Hands is an approved provider from the VA and proudly serves our veterans! Contact your primary care physician at the VA to start the process.
